Kothaligad Trek

One Day Trek to Kothaligad Trek

Let’s connect to our roots

Kothaligad is a fort (3100 ft.) situated near Karjat-Murbad Road in Maharashtra. It is one of the famous treks in the Sahyadri range, known for its scenic beauty and moderate level of difficulty involved in climbing. The fort looks like an inverted funnel; it is also known as ‘Funnel Hill’. On reaching the top of the fort, we see caves carved in huge rocks. The first one is the cave of Goddess, besides which is a water cistern and the last one is the spacious Bhairoba cave. A flat floor and well-sculpted pillars are the specialty of the cave. The summit of Kothaligad offers 360-degree views of the Sahyadri ranges
